Most people probably think photography is an art, therefore photographers could be considered artists. I do NOT consider myself to be an artist, I never did well with Art in school. People who know me would never think of me as an "artsy" person.
I'd like to think of myself as someone who has a fervent desire to capture that special moment in time. To me, that's what photography is about. Photography is about being able to freeze that instance in time that will NEVER, EVER be repeated again. It's about being able to save and treasure that memory and be able to hold on to it for eternity, or however long your storage media will last. :)
